Profile
Testing expertise you can rely on
Whether pharmaceuticals, medical technology, the automotive industry, the packaging industry or manufacturers of technical devices - our customers from a wide range of industries rely on our technical expertise and the standard-compliant performance of tests.
We stand for:
- competent advice
- comprehensible and transparent results
- fast order processing,
- reliable scheduling and
- flexibility.
This is why we are the reliable partner for many companies when quality assurance at the highest level is required.
Our test laboratory is accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and certified by ISTA.
A consistently implemented quality management system ensures the objectivity and reproducibility of our testing services.

Testing services
We focus on the environmental simulation on packaging and products - to simulate largely real load scenarios under controlled laboratory conditions in a comprehensible and standard-compliant manner. Using state-of-the-art testing technology, we simulate climatic and mechanical influences that can occur throughout the entire life cycle of packaging or a product. Our test methods cover the relevant loads, particularly in the packaging sector.
In the area of product testing, our activities focus on vibration and climatic loads, which can also be combined if required.
Accreditation
The SCUS testing laboratory has been accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” since 2008.
The laboratory has flexible accreditation in the test areas marked [Flex B] in the accreditation certificate. This allows us to independently introduce new or modified test methods within the defined scope. All currently offered accredited test services are listed in our list of test methods.

Certification
The International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) develops internationally recognized standards for packaging testing. The aim is to reduce product damage during transport and storage, as well as reducing the consumption of resources through optimized packaging design.
SCUS GmbH has been certified in accordance with the ISTA standard since 2011 and applies these test procedures as part of its services (ISTA certificate).

Professional expertise based on experience and practical relevance
SCUS test engineers have in-depth training and many years of practical experience - usually with over 16 years. The technical management team even boasts over 30 years of experience in the field of packaging testing. This longstanding practical experience forms the basis for our reliable and competent way of working.
Our services go beyond the mere implementation of standardized test procedures. Our experience from monitoring transportation as well as carrying out and evaluating measurements with data loggers and continuous measurement systems gives us a realistic view of the requirements for packaging. This enables us not only to apply standards correctly, but also to critically evaluate their suitability in the respective application - and to provide our customers with targeted support in the selection of suitable test standards. We offer this service outside of accreditation.
Many years of active participation in the DIN standards committee and our recognition in specialist circles underline our technical expertise.

Quality assurance thanks to redundant sensors
By strategically deploying redundant sensors, we enhance the failsure safety and precision of our testing equipment. Independent sensors measure the same variable simultaneously, ensuring dependable monitoring—even under challenging conditions.
Multiple recording minimizes potential sources of error, improves data quality and ensures stable process control. The result: reliable measured values and a fast response in the event of faults.
In addition, a measuring system with 27 sensors enables us to monitor and calibrate even larger climate cells.
